Singaporean singer-songwriter Tanya Chua scooped up 4 awards at the 2010 Singapore Entertainment Awards, including the top prize for Best Female Singer and Best Local Album for her album ‘If You See Him’.

Well done Tanya!

The Singapore Entertainment Awards made its debut in 2009 and returned this year on March 13th at The Float @ Marina Bay.

The event, jointly organised by Singapore Press Holdings’ Lianhe Wanbao, Radio 100.3, Omy.sg and UW (U-Weekly), is to support the Chinese entertainment industry and honours the best talents in Singapore and Asia.

Xiao Han, a leading female lyricist in the Chinese Pop Music scene who is based in Singapore, won the award for Best Local Lyrics for her work on Projectile found on Tanya’s album.

Another big winner was Liang Wern Fook, a pioneer in the Singapore Folk (Xinyao) scene in Singapore. He received the Outstanding Achievement Award (Music) for his contributions to the Singapore music scene.

Congratulations to all the winners!
