Hey guys, what’s up…

I was staring at the screen for a good 20 minutes and I’m still not sure what to say here.
Just a short rambling intro I guess, my name is Adam and I’ve been playing the guitar for more than 15 years, which quite frankly, is a fact that I’m embarrassed to admit since I’ve been playing the same pentatonic scale runs that I learnt about 20 years ago. Talk about progress.
Playing lead guitar in a band called the Black Diamond Ninjas (what do you mean you haven’t heard of us?) for the last year or so. To date, we’ve performed at a charity event at Zouk, a blogger’s party at the Singapore Art Museum & a handful of wedding gigs to date. We definitely hope to play more gigs in the future. Just covers for now but we hope to come up with some originals soon.
Currently a professional in the financial industry and will love to be able to be make a living from music full time – anyone willing to pay to hear me play a 20 minute rock/blues pentatonic ‘odyssey’ a la Spinal Tap? No?
As a Singaporean, Singapore Music Live! was created to showcase the underrated musical talents of Singapore bands and singers to the world and hopefully the world will discover a star. With the advent of the Internet and platforms like YouTube and MySpace, I say why not?
If Arnel Pineda was discovered by Journey on YouTube and Colbie Caillat got a record deal from MySpace, why can’t a talent from Singapore?
Singapore Music Live! hopes to put up profiles, MP3s, music, videos, photos, information…etc of our homegrown Singapore bands, singers, musicians, songwriters and the Singapore music scene in general. In the future, I hope to create podcasts of YOUR music and promote it to everyone out there. If a radio station won’t play it, well, I will. If you’re involved in music in Singapore, I hope to feature you in one way or another on Singapore Music Live!
